- Fear The Walking Dead season 8, the original spinoff, is coming to an end with only a few remaining episodes left to air.
- The final run of episodes focuses on the original members of the cast and their ultimate battle against a familiar villain.
- The series finale of Fear The Walking Dead will air on November 19, concluding the season a little earlier than expected.
Only a few Fear The Walking Dead episodes remain until the season 8 finale, which also brings the zombie spinoff as a whole to an end. AMC may be pumping out The Walking Dead spinoffs faster than Hilltop goes through leaders, but the trend began back in 2015 with Fear The Walking Dead. After eight years and eight seasons of dam disasters, Texan trouble, and PADRE pandemonium, the jig is up. While the spinoff’s main survivor group has evolved constantly, the remaining original members of the Fear The Walking Dead cast rightfully take center stage for the final run of episodes.
Fear The Walking Dead season 8, part 1 premiered on May 14, 2023, and aired six episodes that culminated with the midseason finale on June 18. The spinoff then took a hiatus to make way for The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, but with Maggie, Negan, and Daryl all now in limbo ahead of their respective second seasons, Fear The Walking Dead is back with the second half of its final season. This also means, of course, that only a handful of episodes remain before The Walking Dead‘s OG spinoff is over permanently.
Fear The Walking Dead Season 8 Has 5 Episodes Left (From 12 Total)
Fear The Walking Dead season 8, part 2 premiered with “Andre” on October 22, 2023. The episode reintroduced Colman Domingo’s Victor Strand, who had been missing since the Fear The Walking Dead season 7 ending, and also brought back Daniel Sharman as Troy Otto, who was assumed dead after season 3, as the spinoff’s final villain. Following the airing of “Andre,” Fear The Walking Dead has five episodes remaining from the total number of 12 commissioned by AMC for its final season.
Based on trailer footage and promotional images, the remaining five episodes of Fear The Walking Dead will focus on the climactic battle between Madison Clark, aided by her fellow survivors and the remnants of PADRE, and Troy Otto’s brazen new militia. Most The Walking Dead finales have served to directly set up future shows. Fear The Walking Dead executive producer Michael E. Satrazemis has, however, confirmed that the franchise’s very first spinoff will get a “complete end,” honoring the existing cast members and storylines rather than teeing-up new ones.
